Course Preview

Before we go deep on Coalition and Ecosystem, let’s anchor in the full partnership landscape from Course 104. There are four partnership model types. The Ecosystem — where an anchor brand opens to independent outside brands, retaining the currency, the data, and the member relationship. The Coalition — where multiple independent brands share a common currency and a shared program identity. The Promotional model — where a brand borrows a host program’s established currency on a seasonal or occasional basis, with no shared data or ownership. And Exchange and Interoperability — platforms that enable members to convert or transfer currency across independent programs. This course focuses exclusively on the top two — Coalition and Ecosystem. These require the deepest structural understanding, the most rigorous financial modeling, and the most careful partner governance.
